About Me
Hello! I’m Emily.
Being the oldest of six and growing up homeschooled, God used my upbringing to teach me responsibility and shape my character. From the very beginning, Jesus has been the most important part of my life - a constant presence who has carried me through every season, even when life felt uncertain.
Growing up in a Christian home didn’t mean life was without challenges. My family faced struggles, like when my dad lost most of his work during the 2008 recession. Yet even in uncertainty, God provided in tangible ways, teaching me early that He can turn hardships into blessings.
Dance became my first form of worship, where I learned to express my faith through movement. Around age nine, after reading Kisses from Katie, I felt called to missions, dreaming of one day opening an orphanage in Africa.
Life brought detours. During COVID, my family moved to New York hoping for renewal, but faced disorientation and spiritual challenges. Through it all, God met us, showing me that even difficult seasons refine faith, teach resilience, and prepare our hearts for what’s next.
That preparation became clear when I served at a girls’ home in Thailand. God provided support miraculously, and that experience confirmed my calling to love and serve vulnerable children.
Today, I’m living out that calling on a four-month mission trip with the World Race - spending two months in South Africa and two months in Eswatini - continuing to learn, grow, and serve. Each step in my journey, joyful or painful, has been a lesson in trust, surrender, and the faithfulness of God.
I’m still learning to let go of perfectionism and fear of the future, but I know one thing: God is writing a story bigger and more beautiful than I could ever plan.
