For months, I assumed college was the obvious next step after Africa. What I didn't realize was how much my decisions had become shaped by the approval of others… and how gently God would invite me back to simply following Him!

This season in Eswatini has shown me what it looks like to truly abide - resting in God’s love and letting it shape the way I love others. As I leave, I trust that the seeds planted here will continue to grow, even in ways I may never see!

Life in Eswatini so far has stretched us in simplicity, deepened our joy, and drawn us closer to God in ways we didn’t expect. In the middle of it all, I’m learning what it really means to be refined at the heart level.

In my final weeks in South Africa, I’ve seen how God carries us through every moment. Through unexpected encounters, simple conversations, and everyday moments with my team, I’ve witnessed His sustaining love and learned what it truly means to be carried by Him.

Training camp was so much more than I expected. In the unfamiliar and uncomfortable, God met me personally and showed me what it looks like to live in full surrender.

I’m often asked the question, “Why Africa?” Honestly, it came down to prayer, releasing my own plans, and learning to trust God’s direction. What started as a lot of uncertainty gradually turned into a real sense of peace.
